When our 'Asbestos Aware' staff come accross possible asbestos containing materials, we immediately contact ABS.  They offer an independent asbestos testing service to domestic and commercial clients in the edinburgh and lothians areas. The process is simple. If we suspect that your premises contains asbestos, we'll call ABS and arrange a site visit where they will take suitable samples for testing and advise you on any necessary course of action. They will arrange a fast analysis of your sample in an approved asbestos testing laboratory and get the results to you within 24-48 hours.

Working with the uk's largest and most reliable asbestos testing laboratories, all ukas approved, you can be confident that your result will be accurate. 

The three main types found in buildings are:

Chrysotile (white)

found in ussr, canada, china, usa and south africa.

Amosite (brown)

found in south africa.

Crocidolite (blue)

found in south africa and south america.
